With the RESISTOMAT® model 2304 burster
presents a new generation of resistance measuring devices, which sets new standards in
measuring processing, accuracy, resolution, long-term constancy and user supporting
programs. The trend setting device works on the basis of a further developed
4-conductor-ratio procedure where the measuring current impressed flows through test
specimen and internal reference resistances. The reference resistance, defined on few ppm,
determines nearly exclusively the error in measurement, so that a high accuracy of 0.01 %
F.S. at resolutions up to 10 nOhm in measuring ranges of 200 µOhm up to 20 kOhm is
reached.
By realizing this resolution the test automat is the established world record leader
and thus guarantees to all industry users the highest possible certainty for the
measurement of even the smallest resistances. In the research field measuring problems can
now be managed which up to now have been insoluble.
The operation of the measuring automat is effected menu controlled on 4 user levels. On
these levels measuring mode, evaluation, special programs, and code choices are defined.
The basic model has already IEEE-, 488-, RS 232- and RS 485-interfaces as well as relay
contacts for classifying and sorting processes. Additionally as a standard feature a
connection for automatic temperature compensation is included in the delivery as well as
opto-decoupled inlets and outlets for "Start", "Stop",
"Measure" and "Measure disturbed".
9 automatically switchable measuring ranges between 200 µOhm and 20
kOhm are available. The included IEEE 488, RS 232 and RS 485 interfaces enable an optimal
integration of the unit into systems. User specific measuring programs are already
installed and thus make the universal application easy, wherever resistances have to be
measured and evaluated exactly: in laboratory, test field, production, when trimming (beam
display), at coils and windings (special current control), for the determination of
cooling curves (storage), for the definition of special resistances (unit correct),
measurement at cable drums or contacts,... . There is i.e. a specific measuring process
for inductive parts like coils and huge transformers as well as a bar indication for the
simplification of test field calibrations.
