One of the smallest products of burster präzisionsmeßtechnik revealed to become one of its bestsellers, namely the new ultra miniature load cell series 8416. Now being part of the delivery programme for a year, the button shaped load cell exceeded the customers' expectations due to its small dimensions, its reliable accuracy and its sturdy construction. With a diameter of only 10 mm and a height of 5 mm the series 8416 offers measuring ranges from 0...100 N up to 0...5000 N. The accuracy achieved typically is < 0,5 % F.S., the non-reproducibility of the values is realized even with 0,1 % F.S. only. The sensor manufactured of one piece stainless steel contains a firmly integrated load button. Its measuring method is based upon the well-proved strain gauge technique which is the guarantee for an excellent longterm stability as well as a high bending stress capacity. For special requirements the option 'standardization of sensitivity' may be realized in the connection cable, which might be necessary for all applications in which the sensors are often changed or several sensors have to be interconnected. This series of load cells opens new prospects for all constructions which up to now offered no possibilities to integrate a load cell due to dimension or weight reasons. Therefore especially tool and precision mechanics manufacturers will greatly profit from this product but also in test machines, control devices and manipulation robots these tiny load cells could already achieve successes worth mentioning.
