Press-Fit Controller Keeps the Ball
with New Features

Press-Fit Control and DIGIFORCE^® - two terms closely belonging together. As customers can always count on burster’s attention for their problems, the burster R&D engineers added again some new and essential, application-oriented features to the Press-Fit Controller DIGIFORCE^® model 9306. 

For example it is now possible to pick 3 single values out of a multitude of results provided by the instrument on various info pages and to display them in addition to the press-fit curve. Whoever wants more, is now enabled to get indicated up to 10 more significant values out of 89 possibilities on an additional info page. And exactly these values can be read-out in one turn via serial interface. Further the transfer time has been clearly shortened, a side effect which represents an advantage especially for time-critically pulsed systems. The tricky topic of “external interferences” has been eased now by 2 additionally introduced reference points for the evaluation windows. For example: if the depth of the core into which the pin will be pressed-in is reproducible – and if the pin has to be pressed-in exactly down to the ground of the core, namely “to block”, the evaluation windows can refer now also to these block measures. 

It is possible to integrate DIGIFORCE^® in Profibus systems. Besides the transmission of measuring curves and statistic data the bus interface allows the complete control of the DIGIFORCE^®. The instrument can be run either in cyclical Profibus DP mode or in acyclical Profibus DPV1 mode. In order to meet the high sophisticated requirements of a transmission rate of up to 1 Megabaud for fresh data on the bus, a specially developed concept with an additional 16 bit microprocessor has been realized. 

The instrument is available in three housing variants. Besides table and rack version DIGIFORCE^® can also be delivered as rugged wall-mounting version in high protection class IP65.
