The
rotating torque sensor model 8651 from burster is able to measure static and
dynamic torque moments in permanent service from zero speed up to high
revolutions of 10000 1/min. By aid of a strain gauge full bridge on
the arbor the mechanical quantity torque is transformed into an electrical
value. Rotor and stator communicate on a non-contact basis and thus allow a
low-abrasive and maintenance-free continuous duty.
In
order to cover more interesting applications the current scale of measuring
ranges has now been enlarged downward and upward. For the present the smallest
measuring range available in a very compact design covers 0 ... ± 0,02 Nm while
the largest one covers 0 ... ± 1000 Nm. Optionally it is possible to measure
angle of rotation or revolutions by means of an additionally sensor-integrated
electronics. The lower mechanical expenditure compared to separate sensors is
cost-, time- and space-saving.
The
proven qualities of this torque sensor cover manifold application fields from
laboratory use to industrial manufacturing, i.e. the production of steerings,
gears, motors, generators, rotary switches or bearings, where friction torque
moments are measured. Just as good the sensor is suitable for its use in
assembly systems. For the completion as measuring chain burster also offers the
necessary instruments for the displaying and digital processing of the measuring
data. Upon request sensor or measuring chain can be calibrated traceably, i.e.
with works calibration certificate to meet quality control requirements.
