Nowadays
manufacturers are forced more and more to increase and secure the product
quality already during the production process by application of measurement
technique. Thus on the one hand the scrap rate is reduced as well as on the
other hand also the material need due to smaller manufacturing tolerances.
Furthermore liability can cause problems in case of damage. Therefore quality
control is the reason for risen requirements towards force measurement, not only
for testing machines and laboratory but also for job lot production in
medium-sized companies, as i.e. given in press-fit and joining processes.
burster as
manufacturer of load cells meets this challenge by launching a new high
precision compression load cell. The new model 8527
with its special constructive design uses proven strain gauge technology. Its
accuracy class is 0.05 %. The load cell can be used likewise for the
measurement of static and dynamic compression forces. The load cell made of an
extremely heavy-duty high-grade steel approved for aerospace technology is rated
for endurance strength. The convex surface for force application in the centre
of the load cell guarantees an only very small influence on the measuring
signal. There are 7 measuring ranges available from 0…500
N up to 0…100 kN.
For the
amplification and evaluation of the sensor signal the user should employ an
instrument of the same quality class. Process interface model
9714 offers ideal conditions for an adequate handling of the
output voltage provided by the load cell. The interface shows the measured force
in six-digit high resolution with its own excellent accuracy of typically
0.01
% F.S. It provides peak value memory, class comparator, average calculation,
data logger and serial interface. By storing max. 16
data sets of any sensors the potential of the process interface model 9714 can be further enhanced essentially.
The process
interface completes the high precision load cell ideally as a measuring chain
for many ambitious applications in R+D, test and production field as well as
reference measuring chain for the check-up and set-up of force measurement
installations. For the requirements of quality control it is further possible to
provide traceable manufacturers or DKD calibrations either only for the load
cell or for the whole measuring chain.
