One calibration source, six measured variables

The all-rounder in the laboratory and production

Measuring devices and transmitters must be calibrated exactly to the respective measuring ranges before use and also recalibrated in industrial use. This often requires several high-precision calibration sources for different measured variables and trained specialists. This is expensive, requires familiarisation time and takes up space in the laboratory or production line. The high-precision DIGISTANT 4463 calibration source from burster präzisionsmesstechnik provides a remedy here, as it combines six common measured variables in one device. A voltage range from +/-100 nV to +/-100 V with a basic accuracy (G) of 0.002 % can be specified, as can current +/-100 nA ... +/-50 mA, 0.005 % G or frequencies from 10 mHz to 100 kHz and a real ohmic resistance simulation from 10Ω to 300kΩ. Thermocouples (12 models from 0.1K G) or RTDs (temperature-dependent resistors such as Pt100...Pt1000, Ni100...Ni1000) can also be calibrated. The 4-wire technology reduces uncertainties to a minimum. An optional external Pt100 cold junction optimises the temperature simulation. Up to 32 fully automatic test sequences, each with up to 100 values/time sequences, allow fast testing of sensor cards, measuring devices, PC plug-in cards etc. at the touch of a button. This means that measuring equipment with several measuring ranges can be conveniently tested in the laboratory or on the production line using just one compact calibration source.

Flexible use made easy

RS232, USB and Ethernet interfaces are available for connection to existing control systems and databases. A separate evaluation software was deliberately omitted. Instead, the DIGISTANT 4463 offers a free driver for LabView. This allows users to work with their familiar and powerful standard software. This simplifies integration and drastically reduces the familiarisation period. The calibration source is supplied with a DAkkS certificate and is suitable for worldwide use thanks to a supply voltage of 230 or 115 VAC (50/60 Hz). Once the test period has expired, the calibration source can be recalibrated in the manufacturer's DAkkS-certified calibration laboratory.

About burster

Whether individual metrological components or system solutions, burster mainly supplies users in mechanical and plant engineering, automation, automotive engineering with suppliers, electrical engineering, electronics and the chemical industry. The portfolio includes measuring and testing devices as well as standard sensors for mechanical and electrical measured variables, such as force, compression, torque and displacement sensors and milli and megohmmeters or resistance decades. Individual, customised OEM solutions are also possible, e.g. for many other industries and future or niche markets such as medical technology and biotechnology. Many years of experience in the construction of metrological sensors and devices always guarantee optimised solutions. Sensors, amplifier and transmitter modules, precision measuring devices and measuring systems for sensor signal processing are supplied to customers all over the world from the development and production site in Germany.
