Today, resistance thermometers are among the most important precision and operating measuring devices for technical temperature measurement. Fast and problem-free examinations of display, control and recording devices in measuring and process engineering are essential. With the precision resistors calibrated in °C (in addition, the labelling contains the resistance value in Ω), fixed temperature values according to the characteristic curve of Pt100, Pt500 and Pt1000 can be easily reproduced.

The small dimensions of the resistors allow them to be installed in measuring devices or measuring circuits for comparative or control measurements.

There is no need to consider the ambient temperature, as the temperature coefficient of ≤ 20 ppm of the MANGANIN® material used is negligible.

The precision resistors of models 1144 and 1146 consist of low-capacitance and low-inductance wire windings made of MANGANIN®, which are moulded in small plastic cylindrical housings.

The resistor bodies are subjected to careful artificial ageing before compensation. This special process and compensation to only about half the nominal tolerance guarantee long-term stability of < 0.02 % over many years.
