The field of application of precision resistor decades ranges from general precision resistor specifications to the simulation of a large number of instrument transformers. They can be used for checking in complicated installations and systems, as a substitute circuit in the development of resistance networks and circuits or as a repeatable variable in laboratories and test setups.

These decades fulfil all these different functions and the resulting requirements. Traceability to DIN ISO 9000 is therefore guaranteed.

In terms of accuracy, temperature and long-term stability, models 1406 and 1407 are designed for high requirements. Many years of experience, proven techniques and the use of tried and tested materials guarantee the high degree of precision.

The decade resistors consist of low-capacitance and low-inductance wire windings made of MANGANIN®. The low temperature coefficient of this material, the narrow Error of tolerance of the resistors and the long-term stability achieved through careful artificial ageing are the guarantees for the reliable compliance with the technical data of this decade.

Precision tap changers with premium contact material and optimised brush design ensure very good repeatability. The contacts are self-cleaning. All 7 decade stages are housed in an attractive sheet steel housing. The cabinet acts as a shield against electromagnetic and electrostatic interference. It has a conductive connection to the earth socket on the front panel. With the aid of 2 angle brackets, the decade designed for operation on a workbench or laboratory bench can also be installed in a 19" rack. A test report with detailed technical data is included in the scope of delivery of this premium decade.
