4506, 4506 SPrecision Pt100 simulator
Precise, compact and customisable! Developed for the high-precision examination and calibration of measuring devices and control equipment. Easy to operate and ideal for a wide range of applications thanks to its space-saving design. The standard model 4506 simulates 24 fixed temperature values. For special requirements, the model 4506S is available, which can be equipped with 24 customised temperature values.

The precision Pt100 simulator is used wherever measuring devices or control equipment need to be examined or calibrated with high precision.
The standard model 4506 simulates 24 temperature fixed values. For special applications, e.g. in the food industry, in medical technology, etc., completely different temperature ranges are required. The model 4506S is available for these cases. It can be equipped with 24 customised temperature values.
The simulators are characterised by their ease of use. The resistance values required for the simulation are set directly in °C. There is no need to use tables. Today, a certificate is required more than ever for many measurements. This is available under order no. 45 DKD-... available.
A premium switch with wire-wound precision resistors made of MANGANIN® is housed in a handy and robust metal housing (with DIN sockets). The selector switch is used to simulate 24 fixed temperature values according to the basic values for resistance thermometers (Pt100) in accordance with DIN EN 60751. The simulated resistance value, the value of which corresponds to the set temperature, is tapped at the "Rsim" output sockets.
The four-wire connection system / connection type allows a separate current and voltage path to be connected. Lead resistances are thus eliminated and are not included in the measurement. The 24 temperature values were selected so that several calibration points are available for most measuring devices. The resistors are subjected to careful artificial ageing before compensation.
This special process and compensation to around half of the nominal tolerance guarantee long-term stability of < 0.01 % over many years. The MANGANIN® resistor material used has a temperature coefficient of less than ≤ 20 ppm/K. This means that there is no need to consider the ambient temperature.
