Price and quality pressure are constantly increasing. It is becoming increasingly necessary to monitor even the simplest production and assembly processes. The ForceMaster fulfils all requirements to make even these simple press-fit processes safe with 100 % control of force or force-displacement/time curves. Thanks to its very simple one-button operation with intelligent auto-configuration, even trainees can carry out implementation quickly and safely. "Card & Go" is the name of the smart system that uses the smart cards master, tool and PLC card to make settings on the device, prevent unauthorised interventions and trigger subsequent actions in the production process.

The ForceMaster 9110 was specially developed for use in monitoring hand lever presses. Simple manual workstations can be monitored extremely economically with the help of the ForceMaster. Simple control tasks, where previously an in addition PLC was necessary, can be ensured with the ForceMaster. By using tool cards, tool changes can be carried out quickly and easily.

The ForceMaster is used, for example, for

  • Pressing ball bearings
  • Compacting powders
  • Pressing on pinions

The ForceMaster is supplied via a wide-range power supply unit. The force and displacement sensor are fed with the internally processed power supply. (Automatically) integrated in the connector plug allows easy connection without further configuration of the sensors.

Using the integrated auto-configuration, the measurement curve is taught into the ForceMaster with a GUT part and the evaluation elements are set automatically. These can also be further fine-tuned or adjusted manually as required.
Visual indicators such as the red and green signal lights serve as indicators for "good" or "bad" parts. An acoustic signal is also emitted for "bad" parts.
The integrated PLC function allows step chain control for up to 60 steps. This can be used to control pneumatic cylinders, blowers for blowing out workpieces or diverters for IO/NIO parts.

The PC software supplied free of charge allows the measurement curve to be analysed and the evaluation elements to be fine-tuned. The measurement curves logged on a USB stick can also be viewed and archived.

Task

A ball bearing needs to be press-fitted into a component. Load cell 8552 is used to verify that the bearing has been fitted with the correct force. The sensor can be fitted easily between tool and press ram using a standard tool holder. A visual and acoustic signal from the ForceMaster 9110 is used to indicate that the maximum force has been reached. The load cell is equipped with burster TEDS, so that sensor settings can be imported into the ForceMaster 9110 without any laborious configuration.
