In practice, there is often a need to quickly and easily measure the measurement signals of a sensor in the immediate vicinity and transmit them directly to a PC without the need for any additional amplifiers or converters. This can be realised very well with the 9206 USB sensor interface thanks to its "plug & measure" concept. The USB connection allows very simple installation.
Typical areas of application:
- Mobile test measurements via laptop
- Test set-ups in test laboratories
- Measuring and control equipment
- Diagnostic measurements in the chemical industry
- PC-based recording of strain values in biotechnology
The USB sensor interface is powered via the USB interface of the connected PC. The excitation voltage of the sensors is generated from this. The basic and sensor settings are made at burster and stored in the USB sensor interface. Fine tuning can be carried out by the customer.
A display and logging function is available via software. A USB sensor interface can be connected as standard. Unlimited expansion is possible with a licence key. The software allows up to 32 measuring channels to be displayed simultaneously. Taring is possible for each sensor individually. The measurement curves can be displayed together or individually in a graph.
The interface can be permanently set to a sensor by us. It is possible to change customer-specific parameters using the evaluation software supplied free of charge. Connection to LabVIEW or integration into your own programmes is possible with the driver package, which is available free of charge.

- Non-linearity < 0.1 % F.S.
- Overload protection up to 5 times the measuring range
- Measuring range 5 kN
- Measuring ranges of 0 … 500 N up to 0 ... 200 kN
- burster TEDS for extra certainty
Task
Even autonomous driving needs some tasks done by hand; for instance charging an electrically powered vehicle. Inserting a charging plug in the charging socket involves overcoming a slight friction force to make sure it engages positively in place. The plug must have a high breaking strength for safety reasons yet also be comfortable to operate using a small amount of manual strength. The 8524 load cell is ideally suited to integration in a test facility and provides high resolution measurements of the required friction, latching and end-point forces.
Branchen

- Measuring ranges:
- Load: Fx = 1 kN / Fy = 1 kN / Fz = 2 kN
- Torque: Mx / My / Mz = 50 Nm - Low non-linearity from 0.1 % F.S.
- Customized axis configuration
- Robot flange according to DIN ISO 9049-1
Task
In a robot-controlled placement process, conclusions are to be drawn during the process about the correct parts, positioning and placement.
By means of a reference run, the forces and moments are recorded and serve as comparison parameters for the automated process. The distribution of the three forces and three torques provides information on completeness and alignment.
The placement process of workpiece carriers can be controlled, monitored and limited to maximum values, thus eliminating damage and rejects.
