9210IO-Link measuring amplifier

The new strain gauge amplifier with IO-Link interface enables measurement technology to be digitised directly from the sensor. Thanks to its compact design and high protection class, the measuring amplifier can be used almost anywhere in the field.

The typical output voltage of strain gauge sensors is a few millivolts. In an industrial environment, e.g. in the vicinity of electric motors or frequency converters, the transmission of analogue signals can influence the measurement result. This is reliably avoided with the new strain gauge amplifier with IO-Link interface. The analogue connection between the sensor and the measuring amplifier is kept as short as possible, while the standardized IO-Link communication is fully digital and interference-free. The amplifier is supplied with power directly via the IO-Link interface - a standardised 5-pin cabel end with M12 socket. Strain gauge sensors can be connected via a 4-pin M8 connector.

The premium amplifier electronics enable precise measurements with a linearity deviation / linearity error < 0.005 % F.S. A 24-bit AD conversion ensures sufficient resolution of the digital signals.

The new strain gauge amplifier with IO-Link interface enables immense flexibility. By selecting a suitable IO-Link master, the measuring amplifier can be integrated into almost any fieldbus network. Depending on how many slots the master offers, multi-channel measurement tasks can also be realised easily and cost-effectively.
