Due to their extremely small design, these compressive load cells can be used wherever static and dynamic compressive forces need to be measured, especially in confined spaces.
The model 8416 is predestined for use in microsystems technology, but this sensor can also be used just as well for measuring tasks in the research and development sector.
The ultra-miniature compression load cell model 8416 is a flat, cylindrical disc with a cover on the bottom. The load insertion button for absorbing compressive forces is designed as an integral part of the sensor.
The measuring body contains a strain gauge full bridge applied to the sensor element, which emits a bridge output voltage directly proportional to the measured variable when force is applied.
The low deflection full scale of the ultra-miniature compression load cells due to their design results in high rigidity, and the standardisation of the nominal sensitivity can be carried out in the sensor connection cable if required. This makes it possible to easily exchange or parallel-connect several sensors to one evaluation unit.
