Multi-axis load cells model 8560 are suitable for measuring tension and compressive forces in multiple axes. Thanks to its high accuracy and low crosstalk, this model is ideal for use in test benches and laboratories.
The sensor is easy to handle due to its simple force application and high tolerance of loads transverse to the nominal loads. It offers unimagined possibilities for test setups due to its huge ratio between the nominal loads of the two axes.

The measuring element of this multi-axial load cell is a combination of several double bending beams or compression bodies.
Strain gauges are applied to them, the resistances of which change when a force is applied. By applying a voltage to the strain gauge bridge, the change in resistance of the strain gauges is converted into an output voltage that is directly proportional to the force. The strain gauges are protected against splash water by a silicone cover. The sensor has been specifically optimised to record the forces in the spatial axes independently of each other with minimal crosstalk. Overload protection can be optionally realised by means of a mechanical stopper.
