Special sensors in measurement technology - flexibility for a wide range of applications

Special sensors are playing an increasingly important role in modern measurement technology, as they are developed for special requirements that cannot be assigned to a classic product group such as pure load cells or pressure transducers. These highly developed sensors offer customised solutions for complex measuring tasks, e.g. in industry, robotics and automotive engineering, and are indispensable in a wide range of applications.

Applications and areas of use for special sensors
Special sensors are used in a wide variety of areas, from measuring the braking force on the brake pedal to multi-axis sensors in robotics. In the automotive industry, for example, they are used in pedal and brake force measurement. A typical example is the pressure load Cell, which enables precise force measurements on brakes. In robotics, specially developed sensors such as the force/torque sensor or the 2-axis load Cell play a central role. These sensors are particularly indispensable for precise force measurement on the robot flange in accordance with DIN ISO 9409-1 in order to ensure exact positioning and force control.

Development and future of special sensor technology
The development of special sensors is progressing steadily. Increasing automation, especially in robotics, means that the demand for innovative solutions is growing. Specialised force transducers and multi-axis sensors, such as X/Y sensors, make it possible to record and control complex forces and torques in several axes simultaneously. This opens up new possibilities for precise measurement in demanding applications.
