ISO 17025 accredited laboratory for maximum safety, accuracy, minimum measurement uncertainty and international recognition. An important component of IATF 16949 test equipment management.
As a manufacturer of sensors and systems for sensor signal processing, burster has an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory for mechanical and electrical measured variables.
If it becomes apparent during the calibration capability test that an adjustment is required, we will carry this out in close consultation with you prior to calibration.
You can also contact us with tasks outside the measurement areas listed in the table "Our calibration services at a glance", which we can then solve within our network of accredited laboratories.
At burster, the following services are included as part of the listed calibrations:
- Examination of your test or measuring equipment for calibration capability
- Carrying out a calibration
- Documentation of the calibration with a calibration certificate with accreditation symbol
- Labelling of the calibration items according to ISO 17025 or DKD-5 requirements
Calibrationcertificates with the accreditation symbol (DAkkS) are issued with standards whose traceability is guaranteed by "calibration certificates with the accreditation symbol" or by calibration certificates from DAkkS-accredited laboratories.
Calibration certificates with an accredited symbol can only be issued by DAkkS-accredited calibration laboratories within the scope of the accredited measurands. This ensures that regular audits, directly traceable standards, precisely defined procedures, stable enviriomental conditions and specially trained personnel guarantee the highest calibration quality.
When calibrating test equipment, which in turn serves as standards for monitoring other measuring and test equipment, accredited calibration (DAkkS) should be used due to the guaranteed traceability to national standards.
A calibration certificate with an accreditation symbol is internationally recognised and valid; this is guaranteed by agreements such as the European Cooperation For Accreditation (EA) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC).
The DAkkS is the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH, the national accreditation body in Germany. It is responsible for the accreditation, monitoring and assessment of laboratories in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.
With the burster Manufacturer calibration certificate, you can fulfil the requirements of the automotive industry, medical technology and the aeronautics and space sector for monitoring and measuring equipment.
The burster Manufacturer calibration certificate provides you with the necessary information on measurement uncertainty, procedures and traceability for both individual sensors and measuring systems.
In addition, your individual requirements can be considered.
The burster Manufacturer calibration certificate includes the following mechanics:
- Examination of the calibration capability of your measuring equipment
- Carrying out a calibration
- Documentation with a Manufacturer calibration certificate
- Labelling of the calibration items by means of a calibration mark with the calibration date
Manufacturer calibration certificates (WKS) are issued with standards that are subject to regular test equipment monitoring; the traceability of the standards used is guaranteed by regular test equipment monitoring.
WKS certificates can be considered sufficient if the calibration accuracy of the measuring and test equipment is important, but the equipment is not used as a standard.
WKS calibration certificates are not recognised worldwide and are therefore occasionally rejected by auditors.
ISO 9001 is used for WCS calibration. Calibration is not covered by the accreditation of the calibration laboratory.
The calibration certificate does not contain an accreditation symbol and is therefore not covered by EA MLA.
Our on-site calibration saves you production downtime. We calibrate your force and displacement sensors, RESISTOMAT®, DIGIFORCE® systems, digital indicators and measuring amplifiers on or in your system.
- Do you need to fulfil the ISO 9001 requirements for test equipment monitoring?
- Do you not want to dismantle your machines and systems for calibration?
- You cannot shut down machines and systems for days for calibration?
- Do you expect calibration to take place when production processes allow?
The burster on-site calibration service offers you the unique possibility of calibrating your system under your production conditions. Although our speciality in on-site calibration is load cells in a range from 1 N to 200 kN. As burster is also a manufacturer, you can use the on-site calibration certificate for measuring equipment monitoring in accordance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. In almost all situations, we will find a way to calibrate your sensor and, if necessary, your display measuring device on site. If possible, we dismantle the sensor and calibrate with the mobile burster force measuring device to an accuracy of up to max. 50 kN compressive force. Alternatively, the calibration can be carried out in the machine.
The burster on-site calibration certificate includes
- Examination of your test or measuring equipment
- Carrying out a calibration with traceable reference standards
- Documentation of the calibration on a calibration certificate
- Labelling of the calibration items with calibration number and date
- Adjustment of the amplifiers or indicators (by arrangement)
We also calibrate "third-party" sensors and measuring chains, i.e. sensors or sensors including indicators. However, we should discuss this in advance so that we can prepare the adapter part suitable for your sensor and our calibration equipment in good time. Please contact us to arrange an appointment.
burster is a manufacturer of sensors and systems for sensor signal processing and has an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.
Anyone using burster sensors and/or devices has the possibility to fulfil the minimum requirements of ISO 9001 with the burster test & calibration certificate.
The burster test & calibration certificate is issued with
suitable reference standards, although procedures based on applicable standards or regulations are applied.
The burster test & calibration certificate includes the following mechanics:
- Examination for calibration capability
- Carrying out a calibration
- Documentation of the calibration with a test & calibration report
- Labelling of the calibration items by means of a calibration mark with the calibration date
QM standards require the regular calibration of your measuring and testing equipment if it is used in quality-relevant processes. The purpose of this requirement is to ensure that measurements are always correct and to control the risk of incorrect measurements. As the user, you must define test/calibration intervals. Although the following factors, for example, play a role:
- Costs for recall and rework compared to regular calibration
- Stress (operating time per day, mechanical stress, wear and tear)
- Operating conditions (temperature, dirt, humidity)
- Stability of the test equipment's measurement results based on previous calibrations (history)
- Required measurement quality
- Applicable standards
As a manufacturer of sensors and systems for sensor signal processing, we have many years of experience with the ageing behaviour of our products. Please refer to the following overview for our recommendations:
1. Re-calibration (new sensors / new measuring devices)
after 12 months
2. Re-calibration (new sensors / new measuring devices)
after 12 months
Torque sensors (max. validity of a calibration)
26 months (DIN 51309)
Load cells (max. validity of a calibration)
26 months (ISO 376)
Calibration should be renewed after every repair, adjustment, overload or damage! Take the opportunity to examine the calibration interval after each calibration! If the measuring behaviour remains stable, the calibration interval can be extended if necessary.
